Description
Dr. Neil’s Garden, located beside Duddingston Kirk on the lower slopes of Arthur's Seat, offers a tranquil escape from urban life. Established in the 1960s by Dr. Andrew Neil and his wife, Nancy, this lush sanctuary overlooks Duddingston Loch and features a diverse array of vibrant plants. The garden's winding paths and numerous benches provide ample opportunities for relaxation, birdwatching, and observing dragonflies. Visitors can also explore the nearby Jock Tamson's Bairns garden. Although the garden has specific operating hours, it is advisable to plan a visit accordingly. Parking is available at the Church hall car park or on-street, with clear signage directing visitors to the entrance.
