Description
For chef and restaurateur Marc Forgione (Peasant), the restaurant business is a family affair. This is especially true with his latest debut, One Fifth, which is run in collaboration with his father and legendary NYC chef, Larry Forgione (An American Place). Set on the first floor of the more than 90-year-old, art deco-designed One Fifth Building in Greenwich Village, the food draws inspiration from the Forgione family’s Italian heritage and sources most of its ingredients from the nearby Union Square Greenmarket. Along with signature cocktails and a lengthy selection of wine, expect house made Pinsa (Roman-style pizza) and larger plates such as the Smoked Linguine (clams, green garlic gremolata) and the Corn Cioppino (fish stew).
