Without a doubt, your day wandering around the quiet and sometimes noisy streets of the West Village will be one of the most memorable you spend in NYC. There are iconic sites and places to see around every corner. From The Stonewall Inn, the birthplace of the gay rights movement, to 90 Bedford St, better known as the Friends building, to the Hess Triangle; the smallest piece of private property in NYC. With so much walking, you can fuel your day trip with a tasty cupcake from Magnolia Bakery, the iconic bakery made famous by the ladies of Sex In the City.

How to spend a night in West Village

Nightlife abounds in the West Village, and so does the downtown theater scene. Away from the glimpse and glamor of Broadway are some of the most famous and well-known theaters in town. A show at any of these three theaters will be more than memorable. Cherry lane theater, New Ohio Theater, or the Lucille Lortel Theater. Of course, you will be hungry after the show, and what better way to sate your appetite than with pizza. John's of Bleecker St. has been a local favorite since 1929. Finish your night with a drink or two at White Horse Tavern; this iconic bar has been a mainstay for writers and artists since 1880. Famous visitors included Dylan Thomas and Jack Kerouac.
